What WFStats Provides

WFStats is a free, non-commercial platform that catalogues the results of international men's senior football matches throughout recorded history. The site includes team profiles, tournament records, game archives, city and venue data, interactive charts, Elo-style ratings, and an AI-powered research assistant.

Data Accuracy & Verification

Accuracy is a core principle of WFStats. Every match result on this site is individually verified against multiple independent sources, including official federation records, historical archives, and established third-party databases. Where sources disagree, we investigate, cross-reference, and resolve discrepancies before publishing.

That said, international football history spans over 150 years and thousands of fixtures. Despite our best efforts, we cannot guarantee that every detail is free from error. Historical records — particularly from the early decades of the sport — can be incomplete, contradictory, or simply lost to time. If you spot something that looks wrong, we welcome corrections and will investigate promptly.

WFStats data is provided on an "as is" basis. While we strive for the highest possible accuracy, the information on this site should not be relied upon as the sole source for any purpose where absolute precision is critical, such as gambling, legal proceedings, or official federation business.

Ratings & Rankings

The rating system used on WFStats is an Elo-based model calculated independently by this site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or derived from any official FIFA ranking or any other governing body's ranking system. Ratings are mathematical representations of historical performance and should be interpreted as one perspective among many.

AI Chat Assistant

The Football Companion chat feature uses artificial intelligence to answer questions about the statistics on this site. While it draws on the same verified dataset, AI-generated responses may occasionally be incomplete or imprecise. The chat assistant is a convenience tool — not a definitive reference. Always check the underlying data pages if precision matters.

Acceptable Use

You may browse, search, and reference WFStats data freely for personal, educational, journalistic, or research purposes. If you cite data from WFStats in published work, a credit or link back is appreciated but not required.

You may not systematically scrape, mirror, or bulk-download the site's content, whether manually or through automated tools. Doing so places excessive load on our infrastructure and degrades the experience for other users.

Intellectual Property

Historical match results are factual data and are not owned by anyone. The specific presentation, design, branding, analytics, rating calculations, and original written content on WFStats are the intellectual property of the site's creator and may not be reproduced without permission.

National team badges, flags, and confederation logos displayed on the site are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification purposes only.

Limitation of Liability
