Who We Are
WFStats is an independent, non-commercial football statistics platform. We exist to make international football history accessible, accurate, and free for everyone. We have no advertising, no sponsors, and no reason to collect or monetise your personal data.
What Data We Collect
Very little. WFStats does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the site. We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information.
When you use the site, standard web server logs may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. These logs are used solely for diagnosing technical issues and are not shared with any third party.
We also use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — specifically site traffic volume, which pages are most popular, and the general geographic region visitors come from. This data is collected anonymously and cannot be used to identify you personally. We use it solely to understand how the site is used so we can improve the experience.
Cookies
WFStats uses only the minimum cookies required for the site to function, plus analytics cookies from Google Analytics to help us understand site traffic. We do not use any advertising or social media tracking cookies.

The Google Analytics cookies collect anonymous, aggregated data only — they do not identify you personally. You are free to block or delete any cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may prevent certain interactive features from working correctly (for example, the welcome panel may reappear on each visit). You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-Party Services
WFStats uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to collect anonymous site usage statistics. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how visitors interact with the site — including traffic volume, the geographic regions visitors come from, and which pages are most popular. The data collected is aggregated and anonymous; it cannot be used to personally identify you.

We do not use any advertising networks, social media trackers, or pixel tags.
The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Azure may process standard connection-level data as part of normal web hosting operations, subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
AI Chat Feature
WFStats includes an optional AI-powered chat assistant that can answer questions about football statistics. When you use this feature, your messages are processed in real time to generate a response. We do not store conversation history after your session ends, and your messages are not used to train any AI models.
Children's Privacy
WFStats is a general-audience reference site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 16.
Your Rights
Because we do not collect personal data beyond transient server logs and anonymous analytics, there is typically nothing to access, correct, or delete. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. If you have any concerns or questions about your privacy, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Given the minimal data we handle, we do not anticipate frequent changes.
